Hi! I'm Yashifa. I am an experienced K-12 teacher and I also provide private tutoring services.

My specialty is helping children who are experiencing difficulty learning at school and who would benefit from one-to-one enriched learning. Sometimes, this requires learning in a different way or forming new study habits. Other times, it could be due to gaps in prior learning. I also work closely with students who are bored or unchallenged. Whatever the reason, I am an expert at making learning fun and getting things back on a path to success!

Most of the students I work with live in the North Shore and range from Kindergarten to Grade 7. However, I work with students of all ages.

I have been a teacher since 2003 and an IB teacher since 2005. You might have seen me teaching at Fraser River Middle School in New Westminster, or from having previously taught for several years at Mulgrave School , other schools in the West Vancouver and New Westminster school districts.
